Why Wombats Have Such STRONG Butts! š
Morning Marsupials!
See this guy right here?
He is a wombat.
A short legged, bear/rodent thing from Australia!
But these furry dudes have a secret defense mechanismā¦
BUTTS OF STEEL!
Lemme explain lol.
Basically, wombats have a toughened rear end.
See, their butt region is primarily composed of cartilage, a tough but kinda flexible tissue.
Think about the cartilage in your nose, it's tough but bendyā¦
But that's not all!
Wombat butts also have very few nerves, meaning they feel almost NO pain there.
Ok okā¦ but WHY would they need such tanky booties?
Well, when threatened by predators, wombats will block the entrance to their burrows with their butts of steel!
Their thick skin and cartilage kinda acts like a shield.
Preventing any predators fromā¦ getting inside.
Then if the attacker persistsā¦
The Wombat can use their ***special ability***
Basically, they slam their butt of steel up against the predator and crush them against the roof of the burrow.
Overā¦
And overā¦
And over again!
Until theyāre no longer a threat!!!
Oh yeah, and they also poop cubes.
(Unrelated, but I thought it was worth mentioning)
Stay Cute,
