How Does a Vacuum Work? 💨

Morning suckers!

Speaking of things that suck…
How does a vacuum cleaner even work?
Let's shrink Durd down to find out:

Alrighty, power button on!

This sends 120 volts of electric current to a little motor thingy.
Which spins a fan at like 500 times a SECOND.

But, how does a spinny fan cause it to suck?
Well…as the fan spins, it pulls air through the vacuum.

This creates an area in front of the fan with very low pressure.
Meaning: Very little air.
And for some reason air really doesn't like that.
So it rushes to fill that “low pressure area” as quickly as possible.

As the air rushes into the Vacuum, it drags a whole bunch of little particles with it.
Like dirt, dust, and…
Durd! Watch out!

Run Durd!!

After the air drags all the crap through the system,
It deposits it into a little bag.
The air then flows right through the bag and out through an exhaust port.

But anything that's not air gets left behind in the bag… FOREVER.

Bye Bye Durd.
