Why does EVERY truck have one of those?!

Okay, that one’s got some other problems to deal with..

But they have these for a different gruesome reason.

The year is 1967.

This Sabrina-Carpenter-lookin hollywood actress, Jayne Mansfield…

Is driving through Louisiana in her Buick Electra:

In the front seat, we’ve got:

In the back seat, we’ve got:

Packed car.

Which is also kind of crazy because it’s two-thirty in the morning..

But hey, 1967. They did whatever they wanted then.

Anyway, they enter a dark stretch of US Highway 90

Oh, and there’s a mosquito fogging truck (whatever that is) that’s sprayed a dense white mist everywhere:

No visibility.

So Mansfield’s Buick PLOWS into the back of a tractor-trailer.

And look, because the truck is at head height, they basically drove right under it 😬

Decapitating the adults in the front row..

But luckily the kids were sat below the shear line. 

Now every truck is required to have this “Mansfield” bar to stop cars from being opened like a tuna can…
