See, dogs can’t suck in water like humans do.

They’ve got this biggggg long tongue.

But when they’re thirsty, that thing flicks out of their mouth:

And SLAMS into the water with 8gs.

Like 8 times the pull of gravity.

Kinda like this:

That’s a lot of g’s.

BUT LOOK!

When their 8g tongue hits the water, it’s not doing what you think:

They turn their tongue back-ways, creating a little soup ladle.

That soup ladle pulllssss a column of water up toward their muzzle.

But when that column gets to their mouth:

They can’t create suction to swallow. 

So they..
